Two of the most important advantages working with KaptureIO is the capability of grouping together all the infomation related to a specific part (with no loss of information) and the possibility to standarize all the information contained on the platform for a proper data analysis.

First of all, it is important to understand the structure of a corporation on KaptureIO: all its production plants will be a location on a general organization. Then, all the included locations can be organized into several divisions, as you can see in picture below:

Depending on the user role and permissions, a person will have full access to all the locations on the platform, to its particular location or just access to execute and/or visualize a group of specific control guides (to learn more aboult users and roles, click here):

Due to this structure, all information contained on the platform should be organized following the standard KaptureIO hierarchy, Customer>Project>Part:

Thanks to this strcuture:

  • All the information related to a particular part will be stored together, avoiding loss of information due to its storage on different locations.
  • All the operations contained on the control plan of a specific part will be on the same KaptureIO location
  • This organization facilitates a proper aggregated data analysis
  • Helps not to  replicate several times the same customers or projects already contained on the platform.

All the customers and projects created on the platform will be available for all the locations on the corporation, meanwhile every part, with its content, will be created and available for a specific location.

As a conclusion: all different controls executed over on specific part should be created all together on the proper Customer>Project>Part ubication, being this part available only for the location where the controls need to be performed.

All this control guides can be accessed both for administrators and manager users, meanwhile the operators and viewers must be assigned to their specific tasks.
