Alarms are one of the most versatile KaptureIO features, as they allow the user multiple configuration options depending on what is needed in each specific case.

To create a new alarm, user must click on the "New Alarm" button and fill in the required fields on the automatic pop-up with the Customer>Project>Part>Control Guide information in which he wants to set the alarm:

Next step is to proceed to set the alarm itself, first with descriptive information and general data:

1. Name: alarm identification

2. Alarm on/off: turns the alarm on or off as needed, without having to delete and create it every time

3. Control Guide: specific control in which the alarm is set.

4. Description: details of the specific alarm

Next, the specific operation of the alarm has to be set:

5a. Check and status: The alarm is assigned to the result of a critical specific check of the Control Guide

5b. Sample status: The alarm is linked to the result of each measurement, that means, the group of all checks in the Control Guide

6a. Alarm start: number of error repetitions required for the alarm to be activated

6b. Stop alarm: number of repetitions required for the alarm to be deactivated

7a. Notify by sample: the user receives a notification for each sample that meets the alarm requirements until the error is solved or their status changes

7b. Notify by change: the user only receives a warning when the status of the alarm changes, regardless of the number of errors.

Finally, the notifications associated with the alarm can be configured too:

8. Users: user or users who need to receive the alarm notification as well as whether they should also receive it by email (email dark symbol) or not (email light symbol)

9. Message: Content of the notification message.
