The purpose of having different Dashboards in different areas of KaptureIO is to allow sharing of Dashboards to relevant people.

1. What is a User Dashboard:

These dashboards are only visible by each individual user therefore they can not be shared with others. Using these dashboards allows you to quickly see the specific and most important information to you and not to others.  Each panel added to your personal dashboard will create a direct link to the specific Control Guide/Study saving all the filters applied. There is no limit to the amount of dashboards you create as a User, so your panels can be organised by week, month, by type or any other system you wish.

2. How to create a User Dashboard:

Once you have decided how you wish to organise your personal dashboards, you can start adding a data-view panel from any Control Plan as described in New Dashboard. You can aslo import to the dashboard any data-view panel from any Control Guide, even applying some specific filters.  Once you are inside that Dashboard you can drag your panels around as you need to.

3. What is a Customer Dashboard

A Customer Dashboard is available to all users that can access the specific Customer, but the data is only available for those users who are admins, managers in their location or other locations managers assigned to the specific Customer as members.

4. How to create a Customer Dashboard

To create a Customer dashboard, simply enter to the selected customer and click on the Dashboard tab. You can add a data-view panel to a Customer Dashboard exactly the same way you add data to a User Dashboard (see here).

5. What is a Project Dashboard

A Project Dashboard similarly allows you to generate series of views at specific areas of interest within a project: from the measurement activity to a detailed view of the progress of measurements on a specific point/check. The data is only available for those users who are admins, managers in its location or other locations managers assigned to the specific Customer containing the Project as members.

6. How to create a Project Dashboard

To create Project Dashboard, simple enter the Project you're interested in and click on the Dashboard tab. Once there you can follow the same instructions as with a User or Customer dashboard (see here).

7. What is a Part Dashboard

A part dashboard is obviously more specific than the other dashboards. For example you can have a dashboard for critical points, measurement activity and last months data filtered. The data is only available for those users who are admins or managers in its location.

8. How to create a Part Dashboard

To create Part Dashboard, simply select the aprt and click on the Dashboard tab. From there, just follow the same instructions explained above for a User or Customer dashboards (see here).
