To create a new user in KaptureIO it is only needed an active and valid email address. For this, just click on your personal menu > Account Settings > User >New User and fill all required fields. 

Every user needs to belong to a specific location among all locations included in your KaptureIO organization.

Once user is created, the next step is to assign a role. KaptureIO has 4 different roles with different permissions and abilities:

ADMINISTRATOR: as expected, users with administrator role assigned have complete access to manage information, view and edit all areas of KaptureIO in every location on his organization. This specifically includes the Account Settings Page, where the organization is setted up and new users and locations are created and edited.

Administrator role includes manager, operator and viewer roles.

MANAGER: as expected, users with manager role assigned have the same permissions and accesses that the administrator role but only on his specific location. This specifically includes Account Settings Page with some restricted accesses. To manage users, Manager role needs an specific “user management permission”. 

A manager user can be assigned as a Location Manager to other different locations on the organization, having this way full access to his own location and other different locations on the same organization.

Manager role includes operator and viewer roles.

OPERATOR: as expected, users with operator role assigned only have permissions to take measurements with the different KaptureIO tools (web, software, app). Once the role is added, the user needs to be assigned to the specific Control Guides/Study Pages he will need to execute.

VIEWER: as expected, users with viewer role assigned only have permissions to view the working data of seControl Guides. Once the role is added, the user needs to be assigned to the specific Control Guides/Study Pages he will need to see.

It is also possible to combine operator and viewer role in a same user, being able to take and see data of some specific Control Guides.
