- How to generate a Program from a file:

  1. Create a new program.
  2. Select "Definition from file" button.
  3. Find on the Pop-up your specific type of file and select it.
  4. Upload your file selecting on "Upload file".
  5. Select "Upload sample file" button.

Once we have done this 5 steps, our program will be automatically defined thanks to our file avoiding the necessity of creating all the checks one by one.

  • Note 1: Kapture.io preference is UTF-8 format on all the files. We have seen some errors in importing checks or samples using PC DMIS files that have been saved with the old encoding ANSI. This can cause issues with the import. As a workaround, you can open your files in Notepad++ to go to the Encoding area and then, change the type to UTF-8. Once this step is done, the import should then work correctly.
  • Note 2: Valid separations (depending on the file format) -> ; and ,
  • Note 3: For this type of program it is not necessary to define a form since there is no user contact with the Kapture Win, Quality Control, or control.kapture.io interface. These are values already captured by the machine. Therefore, we will limit ourselves to uploading the program definition file.
